With the start of the summer term, let’s focus on diving in and making an impact in our local waterways!

  • • Go to your favorite (swimmable) water near you, and dive in. Then enjoy some time in the sun!

With the summer sun comes many outdoor celebrations, and that means litter! Fireworks, food wrappers, and more end up getting into waterways which affects our ecosystems. 

Catch the current of keeping waterways clean this July by using sustainable materials at outdoor celebrations and remember to remove all trash from any of your parties.

1. Sometimes it can feel like we can’t keep up with the amount of litter on the planet. But real impact happens through small actions done consistently over time. National Cleanup Day is Saturday, September 19

• This month, let’s band together for National Cleanup Day and do our part to Keep Waterways Wild! Join a cleanup in your area, or get out to a waterway near you and clean up trash!
