SPRING 2026 OVERVIEW
Give Back to the Wild
Give Back to the Wild is about showing up for nature as it comes back to life. As winter fades and the wild wakes up, every month brings new opportunities to take action, build momentum, and care for the places that care for us. Spring is a season of growth and that includes our impact. From the slower restart of February to the full push of Earth Month and beyond, we’re focusing on actions that add up.
Together, we’ll clean up the wild, protect the places we love, and turn care into action that lasts well beyond Earth Month.
Term Goals
Goal #1
To pick up trash from the wild and help nature thrive, obvy
Goal #2
Build momentum through consistent cleanups and care
Goal #3
Show up big for Earth Month and encourage others to join in
Goal #4
Recommit to everyday habits that protect the wild and keep the planet clean
#Impactday Dates + Themes
#1: February 27th: Love the Land
Show the planet some love
February is all about love, so we’re turning that energy toward the places that give us the good stuff. Think favorite trails, go-to parks, and the everyday spots that make getting outside feel good. Winter might still be hanging around, but this is our excuse to start showing up again.
This month is about easy wins. Short walks, quick cleanups, and small acts of care that add up.
-
Ways to Take Action:
-
• Take a short walk and pick up any litter you see
-
• Do a quick cleanup close to home like sidewalks, parking lots, or neighborhood paths
-
• Share a photo of a place you love and why
-
• Set a simple intention for how you want to show up for nature this spring
#2: March 27th: Get Wild Out There
Momentum starts here
Longer days and warmer weather mean it is officially time to get back outside! March is where we shake off winter, lace up our shoes, and turn good intentions into real action.
This month is all about doing a little more. Bigger cleanups, more time outside, and bringing people along for the ride. As we head into Earth Month, this is where momentum builds and our impact starts to add up.
Ways to Take Action:
• Plan a cleanup on a trail, park, or neighborhood route you love
-
• Invite a friend, family member, or coworker to join you
-
• Share photos of your cleanup to help motivate others
-
• Request cleanup supplies so you are ready to go for Earth Month
#3: April 24th: For Earth’s Sake
-
Earth Month. All in.
-
April is the heart of the season and our biggest chance to show up together. This is the month where everything we have been building comes together. More people outside. More cleanups happening. More impact together.
-
For Earth’s Sake is about going all in. When a whole community shows up at the same time, those pounds add up fast and turn individual efforts into real, measurable impact. It is about community powered cleanups, shared momentum, and the kind of impact that only happens when everyone pitches in. This month, let’s show what is possible when we join forces and get to work!
-
Ways to Take Action:
• Participate in at least one cleanup, big or small
-
• Share your impact and encourage others to join in
-
• Try multiple cleanups throughout the month if you can
-
• Celebrate the planet by spending intentional time outdoors
#4: May 29th: Habits for the Habitat
Turn action into habit
Earth Month might be over, but the work is not. May is about taking everything we built in April and turning it into something that lasts. Cleanups do not have to be big to matter. Consistency is what makes the difference.
This month is about finding a rhythm that works for you. One bag at a time. One walk at a time. One habit you can stick with. When care for the wild becomes part of everyday life, the impact keeps growing.
-
Ways to Take Action:
• Keep up a regular cleanup routine that fits your schedule
-
• Choose one habit from spring to commit to long term
-
• Pick up litter on everyday walks or outings
-
• Share what helps you stay motivated to keep going

Our Mission as Wild Keepers
Wild Keepers are on a mission to pick up trash outside, make a positive impact on the outdoor spaces that we enjoy, have fun doing it as a part of a larger community of Wild Keepers, and inspire others to do the same.
Impact Days
Impact Days are once a month.
On these days, Wild Keeper Ambassadors flood Instagram with the positive impact you’ve been making throughout the past month.
Each Impact Day, there are (optional) Impact Day Themes to get your creative juices flowing and Monthly challenges + giveaways as a special thank you for all the hard work you put in to help keep nature wild.
You don't have to pickup trash on Impact Day
you just need to post your impact photo on Impact Day!
Before Impact Day
Pick up trash at any point before or on Impact Day (at a park, neighborhood, trail, urban area, anywhere!)
Snap a fun photo of you and your trash haul to save and post on Impact Day!
You can do this precisely with an scale or guesstimate your weight. A KNW trash bag weighs between 5-15 lbs depending on micro trash or regular, bulky trash!
On Impact Day
Grab your super-cute Impact Day photo from your cleanup! Always include these hashtags in your post: #impactday + #keepnaturewild + #wildkeepers so we can help celebrate your impact!
Use the caption to talk about why it's important to Keep Nature Wild! For inspo, check out the Wild Keeper Social Media Kit or use the monthly Impact Day theme below!
IMPORTANT: Record your impact on the Impact Form—this is the only way we know how much trash you actually picked up!
