FALL/WINTER '25-'26 TERM OVERVIEW

Wild All the Way

From crunchy leaves to snowy sidewalks, litter is the uninvited guest that never gets the hint. It shows up to every season’s party and always overstays its welcome. But, we are not letting trash get cozy! Whether you are out for a fall hike, a holiday stroll, or a new year reset, every cleanup counts.

This term, we are going wild all the way. Because no season can cover up our commitment.

Term Goals

Goal #1

To pick up trash from the wild and help nature thrive, obvy.

Goal #2

To enjoy the best of fall and winter while keeping our trails, neighborhoods, and parks clean.

Goal #3

To make simple sustainable swaps during the holidays that cut down on waste.

Goal #4

To recommit to everyday habits that protect the wild and keep the planet clean.

#Impactday Dates + Themes

#1: October 24th: Fall for Nature

The air is crisp, the leaves are showing off, and nature is at its most photogenic. Fall is the perfect time to slow down, soak it in, and protect the places that make this season so special. Beauty like this does not last forever, and it is up to us to make sure litter does not ruin it.

  • Ways to Take Action:

• Bring a bag along on your next walk, hike, or leaf-peeping adventure
• Do a mini cleanup in your neighborhood before the leaves pile up
• Snap a photo of your favorite fall view and share in Slack
• Try a sustainable swap, like composting your pumpkin and fall leaves instead of tossing them

#2: November 21st: Grateful, Not Wasteful

November is all about gratitude, and one of the best ways to show thanks is by caring for the places we love. From sidewalks to trails, every piece of litter removed is a gift back to nature. Even if it is too cold for a cleanup, there are plenty of ways to turn gratitude into action.

Ways to Take Action:

• Get outside for a cleanup and reflect on what you are thankful for
• Choose one sustainable swap for your holiday gatherings
• Share a photo of a place you are grateful for in Slack
• Invite a friend or family member to join your cleanup crew

#3: December 19th: Season’s Cleanings

  1.

The holidays may be busy, but the wild still needs our attention. December is our chance to wrap the year in gratitude for the planet by keeping our lands free of litter and making choices that reduce waste. Small actions create big impact.

  • Ways to Take Action:

• Do a quick cleanup before snow or ice hides trash away
• Use reusable or recycled materials for gift wrapping
• Bring reusables (mug, bag, or container) on your holiday outings
• Share one sustainable tradition you are starting this season

#4: January 30th: Out with the Trash

A new year is the perfect time to clear out what does not belong... in our homes, in our habits, and in our wild spaces. This month, we are kicking things off fresh by picking up litter and recommitting to small actions that make a big impact.

  •

  • Ways to Take Action:

• Do your first cleanup of the year in your neighborhood
• Set a personal cleanup or sustainability goal for the year ahead
• Try one new eco-friendly habit
• Share with us how you are starting the year fresh for nature

Our Mission as Wild Keepers

Wild Keepers are on a mission to pick up trash outside, make a positive impact on the outdoor spaces that we enjoy, have fun doing it as a part of a larger community of Wild Keepers, and inspire others to do the same.

Impact Days

Impact Days are once a month.

On these days, Wild Keeper Ambassadors flood Instagram with the positive impact you’ve been making throughout the past month.

Each Impact Day, there are (optional) Impact Day Themes to get your creative juices flowing and Monthly challenges + giveaways as a special thank you for all the hard work you put in to help keep nature wild.

You don't have to pickup trash on Impact Day

you just need to post your impact photo on Impact Day!

Before Impact Day

Step 1: Pick Up Trash

Pick up trash at any point before or on Impact Day (at a park, neighborhood, trail, urban area, anywhere!)

Step 2: Snap a Photo

Snap a fun photo of you and your trash haul to save and post on Impact Day!

Step 3: Weigh Your Trash

You can do this precisely with an scale or guesstimate your weight. A KNW trash bag weighs between 5-15 lbs depending on micro trash or regular, bulky trash!

On Impact Day

1. Grab Photo + Hashtags

Grab your super-cute Impact Day photo from your cleanup! Always include these hashtags in your post: #impactday + #keepnaturewild + #wildkeepers so we can help celebrate your impact!

2. Caption and Post

Use the caption to talk about why it's important to Keep Nature Wild! For inspo, check out the Wild Keeper Social Media Kit or use the monthly Impact Day theme below!

3. Record Your Impact

IMPORTANT: Record your impact on the Impact Form—this is the only way we know how much trash you actually picked up!

Cleanups

We are currently hosting group cleanups at least once a month!
